Palm
Springs, California April 25, 2002 - AEA President Paula Derks
and ElectronicFlight Solutions, Inc. founder and CEO, Howard Reisman,
today officially cut the ribbon and opened the ElectronicFlight
Solutions Airpark at the Aircraft Electronics Association 45th Annual
Convention & Trade Show here in Palm Springs.
"AEA welcomes
ElectronicFlight Solutions as an AEA member and applauds their efforts
to bring quality training to the flying community as well as to
our membership", stated Derks.
Today, general aviation aircraft owners are investing tens of thousands
of dollars on high tech equipment but leave the shop with minimal
training and a set of manuals they are expected to decipher on their
own. The result, more often than not, is that the pilot never becomes
fluent in the full and proper use of the equipment.
"As an
AEA-Member CompleteLearning
Partner you can now offer your customers as well
as your in-house technicians access to the ElectronicFlight CompleteLearning
Avionics Software Library of interactive, media rich,
self paced training. The five volume library addresses Autopilot,
GPS Navigation, Traffic, Terrain and Weather awareness technologies
from leading manufacturers including Bendix/King, Garmin, Goodrich
and Avidyne." explains Paul Novacek, ElectronicFlight's VP
of Product Development and member of the AEA Avionics Advisory Board.
According to Arthur T. Keefe III of the Air Safety Foundation, "Today's
sophisticated cockpit automation technology is fusing itself into
the very fabric of General Aviation at an exponential rate. Competency
in its use will result in peace of mind and safer flying."
Founder Howard
Reisman emphasizes, "As CompleteLearning Partners we
strive to ensure that NO pilot leaves the shop without the quality
training they deserve. More importantly, it is training they need
to be proficient with the equipment you, the avionics shop, have
installed and when it counts the most - under the pressure of a
high workload cockpit environment."
To better educate the GA community about its products and partnerships
the company has launched the ElectronicFlight Solutions CompleteLearning
Airpark (KEFS), home to the ElectronicFlight CompleteLearning
Academy and Testing Center, AEA-member Avionics Shop, ElectronicFlight
FBO and Pilot Shop, ElectronicFlight School and Corporate Flight
Department. AEA-member shops can be cleared directly to KEFS by
accessing www.ElectronicFlight.com or calling toll free 866-234-2359
and ordering a CompleteLearning Airpark /AEA-Member Partner Program
CD-ROM.
